Halloween Photography Project-Edit
This photo is the shadow of photography student Sarina Tassone

Scavenger Hunt Project-Edit
This is a photo of pine needles with little droplets of rain on it. To accentuate the droplets of rain, I made the background and the pine needles darker.

Scavenger Hunt Project-original
This is my first photo of a flower, however I reshot it and took another picture of a flower with a bee on it.

  1. I'm really a fan of the shadow picture. It convey many emotions (i.e. fear, paranoia). It related very well to the Halloween project and I think it is your best one yet.

  2. I really like the photo of the pine needeles because it really shows definition on the needles and also I especially like the water droplets that you can kind of see in the photo.
One thing I would maybe change would be the hot spots by the trees in the background. It may draw the attention away from the pine needle tree.

  3. Taylor, i really enjoy the shadow picture mostly because it's me. No but honestly it is a great representation of a silhouette. It also shows value. You can see the contrast between the shadow and the ground. good work champ!

  4. I like your first picture of the shadow because it makes the overall mood mysterious because you're not able to see who the figure may be, it's interesting!

  5. I like the shadow pciture because I feel as if the person doesn't know what to do and like you just took the picture without them knowing. It gives off a mysterious feeling, in the way that I don't know what's happening.

  7. I also like the shadow picture because, it looks like it could be a cover for a scary movie since you dont really know if the shadow can be a killer or zombie it's very mysterious. I also liked how you edited the photo to make the shadow stand out more. Very nicely done.

  8. I thought the shadow photo was very good. Despite the fact that it has a "mysterious" feeling, there are other features that overall make the photo look outstanding. The dark corners emphasize the subject and the overall feeling. It is perfect in Black and White, you would not have gotten nearly the same effect if it were in color. Even the leaves on the ground influence the subject.
    Really Cool.

  9. I agree that the shadow picture is the most succesful. It has so much value and tone to it, and is very well edited. I also like the leaves around the shadow, it gives a mysterious mood, and the darkness of the photo also helps that.
For the flower picture, I love the colors, but I think that the butterfly is a little bit distracting. All the pictures are really good, but out of the 3, the shadow is definately the most intresting.

  10. I really like the Halloween shot of the shadow because I think it successfully captures the mood and/or feeling that Halloween should be giving off. Its colorless foreground draws the viewers attention toward the actual shadow as if from a horror movie, which is a really good idea to try and do your own representation of it. I think the best part about this photo though is how you utilized shapes to make it successful and more ineresting, very creative and original! Nice job Taylor!
